1
Clean the spot you plan to use as your spa area. Clean your area of choice ahead of time for your spa set up. For example, if you want to use your bathroom to build your own spa, clean the sink, counters, tub and shower tiles.
-
2
Place candles around your spa for ambiance. Place candles (scented or unscented--your choice) in various places in your bathroom, such as the bathroom counters. Dim the lights to give your spa relaxed atmosphere. Play soft music or sound effects, such as a saxophone tunes or sounds of a waterfall.

Bubble baths are soothing. Prepare your bubble bath. Use essential oils like peppermint oil to remove impurities and encourage calmness. Utilize bath salts to reduce soreness and soothe tensed muscles. Use an exfoliate to deep clean and remove dead skin cells. After your bath, moisturize your skin with a rich lotion such as aloe moisturizer or cocoa butter.
-
4
Stretches relieve stress and help you sleep well. Stretch gently to loosen your muscles and relax. The Downward Facing Dog or Cat-Cow Stretch are all poses that will help you relieve stress, relax, meditate and even burn calories.
-
5
Find linens and pillows that provide a good night's sleep. End your spa night with fitted, matching linen sheets on your bed that are comfortable for you. Select a body pillow that's suitable for your body and doesn't cause discomfort while sleeping.
