1
Determine the date your show will premier. Host your premier party on the day it originally airs to add to the excitement and to avoid potential spoilers.
-
2
Choose a time for the party. If you want to watch your show "live," plan on starting the party at least an hour before air time. This allows sufficient time for all guests to arrive and get settled before the show starts.

3
Make or buy invitations for your premier party. You can customize movie ticket style invitations for your television show. Free online email invitations are another option. Include the day, time and location of the party and any RSVP instructions. Use catchwords or phrases from the show to customize the invite. Send out invitations at least three weeks prior to your event.
-
4
Buy decorations and party goods based on the number of guests attending the party. Decorate your space using posters or pictures of the show's main characters.
-
5
Prepare light snacks and refreshments if your party is after dinner time. Plan a bigger meal if the party falls during dinner hours. Have a dessert buffet for after the show, so guests can linger and talk about the episode and the upcoming season. Think about the main characters of your TV show. Do they have a particular food or drink they consume or talk about frequently? Does the show center around certain foods? Incorporate these items into your menu.
-
6
Set up the room with enough seating for all of your guests. Bring in extra chairs or floor pillows for extra seating. Make sure each seat has a clear view of the television.
-
7
Roll out the red carpet on the night of your premier party. If you can't find a red rug, red material or plastic table cloths can be laid out. Use tape to secure several table cloths together.

Tips & Warnings
The above steps would also work for a premier party for a movie released on DVD or Blu-ray.
Plan activities to entertain the guests before showtime and during commercials. Gather trivia and make up trivia questions to ask your guests, or have the guests do impersonations of the characters.
Have the guests dress as their favorite character from the show and award a prize for the best look-a-like. A good prize would be first choice of seating for the premier.
