How to Copy & Paste in a Terminal

The terminal is the text-based interface in the Linux and Unix operating systems. It is sometimes called the "console," or "command prompt." The command prompt is actually the text at the beginning of each line. The normal copy and paste shortcuts used in a graphical desktop environment are reserved for other purposes in a terminal. Instead, there are other mouse and keyboard shortcuts that are used.
