How to Print Ceramic Decals
Give your ceramics a different touch of style by adding your own, homemade decals. You can find decal sheets made for ceramics at arts and crafts or hobby stores. Take special note of what type of printer the decals are compatible with, which will be listed on the decal sheets' package. Using sheets intended for an ink jet printer in a laser printer will ruin the sheet and possibly the printer as well.

1
Turn on your printer and computer. Check the connection between the two devices to make sure it is securely in place.
-
2
Place a single sheet of decal paper in the printer's input tray. Adjust the paper guides so they touch the edges of the sheet but do not crease or bow it at all.

-
3
Open the image files you wish to print, using your preferred software. When you are ready to print, click on "File" at the top of the window and select "Print."
-
4
Check the pull-down menu in the print window to make sure the printer you loaded the decal sheet into is selected. If not, click the pull-down menu and select the printer. Click "Print."
-
5
Retrieve the decal sheet from the output tray. Trim around the different designs, leaving enough room to touch each decal without coming in contact with the printed area.
