How to Format a Disney Mix Stick

The Disney Mix Stick is a starter MP3 player designed for tweens and teens. It is user friendly and works with your home computer. Formatting takes about 10 minutes, and will restore your Mix Stick to the original factory settings. Use formatting as a last resort if you have a problem with your device.

Instructions

1. Power up your computer and plug the Disney Mix stick into a USB port.

2. Open "My Computer."

3. Right click on the option labeled "Removable Disk," which will bring up a submenu. Choose the "Format" option by left clicking it. The Format menu display box will appear on your screen.

4. Use the dropdown box labeled "File System" to select "FAT32" from the choices listed.

5. Click the "Start" button at the bottom of the Format display box.

6. Click "OK" to begin formatting.

Tips & Warnings

• Consult your Disney Mix Stick manual for troubleshooting and tips to try before you decide to format.

• Formatting completely erases your content on the Mix Stick, so be sure you have a backup copy of your music.
