How to Cut Out Wood Patterns

Instructions

1. Draw the pattern you want to cut out on paper. This is a much easier surface to draw on than wood, and you can easily erase and correct any mistakes in the drawing.

2. Cut out the pattern from the paper with scissors. Be careful to avoid cutting jagged edges unless you need them for the pattern.

3. Trace the template onto the wood with a pencil. This will give you a clear outline of the pattern on the surface to be cut.

4. Cut the wood with the scroll saw by starting from an outer edge to avoid damaging the pattern. Carefully trace the outline of the template pattern with the scroll saw. Take your time to avoid damaging the wood or pattern.
