How to Clean Valplast
Valplast partial dentures are constructed with soft pliable material. They are designed to look more realistic than the conventional dentures, that are hard and can be uncomfortable. Valplast, although comfortable are more difficult to clean. They have to be cleaned with care and attention, in order for them to last. Does this Spark an idea?

Take off the Valplast dentures. Turn the faucet on and leave it running until the water is lukewarm. Place the dentures under the running water and carefully remove any debris. Use your fingers or a soft cotton-wool bud to remove excess dirt. Rinse the dentures with tepid water after each meal to avoid food buildup.

Place the dentures in a cup full of warm water. Leave them in the water for a 15 minutes daily. Valplast dentures should be soaked in Val-clean denture cleaner overnight at least twice a week. Before soaking the dentures in denture cleaner, rinse them in warm tepid water. Fill a cup with Val-Clean denture cleaner and place the dentures inside the cup. In the morning rinse them under warm water before fixing them in the mouth.

Clean the Valplast dentures in a sonic cleaner. Sonic cleaners are designed to deep-clean dentures without damaging them. Toothbrushes are not suitable for Valplast partial dentures, because hard bristles can damage them.
Sonic cleaners can also be used for cleaning jewelry, and some use UV sterilization techniques to remove stains and debris effectively. When using a sonic cleaner, place the dentures on the perforated platform. Fill the cleaner with cold water and replace the lid. Choose either UV sterilization or light cleaning. Press the start button; the process takes five minutes. Open the cleaner and discard the water. Remove the dentures and place them on a clean paper towel to dry.
Valplast dentures should be cleaned in a sonic cleaner at least every two weeks.

Tips & Warnings
Do not use a toothbrush on Valplast partial dentures. You will damage them if you attempt to use a toothbrush to clean them. Rigid dentures are different and can be brushed with a toothbrush.
