How to Save Screenshots to a Word Document

Taking a screenshot of your computer is not difficult to do but sometimes it can be confusing. When you first take the screenshot, you have no idea where it is because your computer doesn't tell you that the screenshot has been taken. When you take a screenshot, a picture of what is showing up on your screen at that very moment, the image gets saved onto a clipboard and needs to get pasted onto some kind of software, such as Paint or Microsoft Word.

      Press the "Fn" key and the "Prt Scr" key on your computer keyboard in order to take the screenshot of your computer.

      Press the "Windows" key and the "R" key on your computer keyboard, then type "Word" into the pop-up that appears. Click "Run" to open Word on your computer.

      Press the "Ctrl" key and the "V" key on your computer to paste the screenshot that you took earlier into the Word document.

      Click "File/Save," type in the name that you want to give to the screenshot on the document and then click "Save" to save the Word Document with your screenshot.
