How to Cut Out a Render in Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is a useful tool for creating mixed media art projects. The program includes a large number of filter options for creating or altering graphic art. Filters can be difficult to edit after application however because they are tied to the content they are applied to. Photoshop's "Smart Object" feature allows you to apply editable filters that also include tools that let you determine exactly where on your canvas a filter will show up.
