How to Convert a Word Document to HTML Format thumbnail
Create an HTML file through Microsoft Word.

If you produce content for the Web, you can simplify the process by using Microsoft Word and then creating HyperText Markup Language (HTML) files for easier viewing on the Internet. You can also format it prior to altering. Editing your document in Word and then saving it as an HTML file can save time in publishing information for the Internet or sending email to clients and friends. Accomplish this with a few steps embedded in your Word document.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Word document you wish to convert to the HTML format. Click on "File" and select "Save As Web Page" or "Save As HTML" (not the usual "Save As" option). Select the destination where you want to store your file. Type a name for your document and click on "Save."

    • 2

View what your document will look like on the Web. Open your document in Word and then click on "File." Select "Web Page Preview."
