How to Add Videos to an iPod Using iTunes

Adding videos to your iPod using iTunes is also known as syncing. There are two ways to sync your iPod--either by manually choosing the video tracks or by allowing iTunes to automatically sync your contents. Make sure that your iPod has enough free storage space to house your videos.

      Connect your iPod to the computer with the USB connector. Open iTunes and wait for it to read your device connection.

      Click the iPod icon in the "Devices" panel on the left side of the screen. Press the "Movies" tab.

      Click the "Sync Movies" box. Choose which movies you want synced to your iPod in the "Automatically Include... Movies" drop-down menu, or select "All" to sync all iTunes movies.

      Press the "Apply" button to begin adding the videos to your iPod.

Tips & Warnings

  • Look at the "Capacity" bar in the main iPod "Devices" window to check the amount of free room on your iPod.
