Connecting a DVD player to a Sylvania TV, or any TV for that matter, can be done in a few minutes.

      Turn off the DVD player and television.

      Connect one end of the A/V cables or the S-video cable you are using to the connection port on the back of the DVD player. For the A/V cables, the connections will be color-coded with red, yellow, and white connectors. Match the inputs to the connection ports. The S-video port will be marked by an "S-video" logo.

      Plug the A/V cables into the A/V ports on the TV. Depending on your TV model, these ports will either be on the back or the side of the TV and will be color-coded as they are on the back of the DVD player. If you are using S-video, plug that cable into the TV. The S-video connection will also either be on the back or the side of the TV and will look like the connection on the DVD player.

      Turn on your DVD player and television. Press the "Input" or "Source" button on the TV's remote control until the main screen for the DVD player shows up.
