Toyota Highlanders are equipped with a tire pressure warning system that displays a warning on the control panel when pressure in one of the tires becomes low. The low-pressure indicator will only display if the sensors detect that pressure is critically low. The system must be reset when new tires are installed so the sensors can re-calibrate themselves. Rotating the tires will also require that the system is reset.

Step 1

Locate the tire pressure warning system "Set" button below the ignition switch. The button has a graphic of a tire and the word "Set."

Step 2

Press and hold the "Set" button.

Step 3

Release the "Set" button when the indicator light above the button blinks three times. Wait a few minutes for the initialization to complete.
