How to Make MS Word Zoom Stay at 100%
If you've previously made a change to the zoom level in Microsoft Word, you may find that the default zoom level has been changed on your default template. This can be inconvenient, because you'll have to reset the zoom level each time you create a new document. Fortunately, there is a way around this. You can edit the default template so the zoom stays at 100 percent.

Open the Microsoft Word program, but don't open a document. Navigate to "Microsoft Word" in your Start menu.

Click on the MS Office button in the top-left corner. Select Open. In the "Open" dialog box, select "Templates" from the left-side pane.

Click on "Normal.dotm." This is your normal file template. Click on the tab labeled "View."

Click on "Zoom" and select "Zoom to: 100%." Click "OK."

Click on the "MS Office" button again, and then click "Save" to save the default template.
