Click the "Start" bar and open Windows Media Player.

    • 3

In Windows Media Player, click "Library," and in the List window, click "Burn List."

    • 4

Choose songs to add to your CD. Drag an entire folder of songs from the Contents window, or drag individual songs from the List window.

    • 5

Drag songs up or down in your burn list to determine the order in which your songs will be burned to the CD.

    • 6

Verify that your chosen songs will fit on the CD by comparing the amount of music the CD can hold (most are 80 minutes) with the estimated time of your CD in the Burn List window. If your CD is too long, right-click a song and click "Remove from List" to free up space.

    • 7

Click the "Start Burn" button, then click "Audio CD."

    • 8

Click "Start Burn." Windows Media Player will notify you when the CD is complete.

Tips & Warnings

  • Try to minimize the other tasks you do on the computer while the CD is burning. If you have too many programs running, the writing of the CD might be affected.
