Instructions

    • 1

Secure the car on a flat piece of pavement with the parking brake applied. Raise the hood. Since you will be working in and around the engine bay, it is important to remove the negative battery lead to avoid electric shock.

    • 2

Locate the the clips holding the lid of the air-box down. Unclip these and remove the concertinaed rubber tube that connects the air-box to the throttle body. You will need to undo the clips with a screwdriver.

    • 3

Remove the four bolts holding the throttle body to the air intake, using a socket wrench. You can then remove the electrical connector plugs from the throttle body and the IACV. Just push the side of the connectors together and slide it away from the plug.

    • 4

Examine the screws. Once the throttle body is removed from the air intake, you will be able to see the IACV properly. There are five screws that hold the IACV to the throttle body. These screws can be easily removed using the socket wrench. Attach the new IACV in its place and refit the rest of the parts in the reverse order you removed them.
