How to Do Zebra Stripes on Your Nails
Painting designs and animal prints onto your nails can subtly dress up your style. A common animal print design that you can create on your nails is a zebra print. Zebra print nails can be done with any two colors of nail polish for a funky style. However, the most common is the natural black and white zebra print style. - 2 bottles nail polish, in contrasting colors
- Fine-tipped artistic nail brush
- Clear top coat nail polish

Paint all of your nails with one layer of the base tone for your zebra print. For example, if you are doing a classic black and white color scheme, the base color would be white. Allow to dry for 5 minutes.

Paint a second layer of the base tone onto your nails so that an even coating of color has been applied. Allow the second layer to dry for 10 minutes.

Dip a fine-tipped artistic nail brush into the overtone for your zebra print. For the classic black and white color scheme, black would be your nails' overtone.

Paint thin stripes onto one nail; start at the edge of the nail and draw the line to the center of your nail. This will create a line that is thicker near the edge and thins out toward the center. Paint these lines across the entire nail to finalize the zebra print look.

Repeat this process over each nail until all of your nails have been painted in a zebra print fashion.

Finalize the design by painting a layer of top coat over each nail. This will help make the design last longer and give your nails an overall shine.
