How to Disable Automatic Updates and Restart
In Windows 7, automatic updates is enabled by default. It searches the Microsoft server for available system, security, driver and software updates, and installs them automatically to ensure your computer has the latest updates. If you prefer to install updates manually when you want to, disable the automatic updates feature quickly without affecting your computer in a negative way.
