How to Disable Any Antivirus Software When Rebooting My Computer

Antivirus software and security programs can sometimes cause problems for PC users. While having an antivirus program installed is an absolute necessity to protect your computer, antivirus applications will often block other programs on your computer from accessing the Internet. Navigating through your security interface to open ports and setting special rules for your firewall can also be difficult. Fortunately, your Windows operating system comes equipped with a conventional solution.

Instructions

1. Open your computer's "Start" menu located in the bottom-left corner of your desktop.

2. Select "Control Panel" from the list of options presented to you.

3. Open your system's "Security Center" by double-clicking on the "Security" icon.

4. Open your "Malware Protection."

5. Locate your antivirus software listed under the "Virus Protection" section, right-click on it and select "Disable."

6. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
