How do I Measure for Ariat Boots?
Ariat is a company founded 20 years ago by a pair of businesswomen. Ariat's founders sought to create a riding boot that was comfortable and flexible to wear under all circumstances. Today, Ariat boots are sold by more than 4,000 retailers across the world. The company makes boots for men, women and children. Your correct shoe size is crucial for obtaining a comfortable fit for your Ariat boots.

1
Know your standard shoe size. Ariat boots use U.S. sizes, rather than U.K. or international sizes.
-
2
Select the style of Ariat boots you want to purchase. Ariat boots come in different widths, ranging from "B" to "EE". Boots with a width of "B" are the narrowest; boots with a width of "EE" are the widest. Men's boots from Ariat come in sizes 6.5 to 15. Women's boots are available in sizes 5.5 to 11. Boots for kids come in sizes 1 through 13.

3
Use a standard foot measuring tool to measure the size of your foot. This tool-- called a Brannock device--is found in most shoe stores. It allows you to measure both the length and width of your foot, converting the measurement into standard U.S. shoe sizes.
-
4
Leave approximately 1/4-inch of wiggle room in the heel of your boot, per Ariat's recommendations. This will give the leather room to mold to your foot.
-
5
Leave 1/2-inch of wiggle room in the toe of the boots for children. Ariat boots are an expensive purchase, and this allows children to "grow into" the shoes. Do not leave more than 3/4-inch of wiggle room, or children may trip over their feet.
-
6
Try on the boots in person before buying them. Ariat sells dozens of different styles of boots, and each can have a different fit.

Tips & Warnings
Wear socks when you measure your feet, since most boots are worn with socks.
Measure your feet at the end of the day. Feet tend to swell after a day of walking on them, and you will want that extra room in your boots.
