How to Reset a MacBook Air

The MacBook Air may require a reset from time to time. A basic reset is a common fix for frozen programs or a way to clear the RAM cache. A PRAM or System Management Controller (SMC) reset can resolve issues including frequent system freezes, no display, no sound or no fans running. Since the MacBook Air has an internal battery that is not readily accessible, the reset procedures for resetting the SMC are slightly different than for other MacBooks with removable batteries.
