How to Crochet Mittens for a Toddler

How to Crochet Mittens for a Toddler thumbnail
The size of these mittens is easily adjusted to smaller or larger.

These toddler mittens will fit a 24-month-old child. A child of that age can easily put them on and take them off without help. The crocheter with basic crocheting experience should find them easy to complete. The only crochet stitch used is a single crochet. When buying yarn, check the expected gauge of the yarn and compare it to the gauge on the instructions. Once you've made one pair of these mittens, it should be easy to make another pair in one evening.

Tips & Warnings

  • Most crocheters and knitters hate to make a gauge swatch, but taking time to do this saves a lot of time in the long run.
