A digital converter box captures digital TV signals and processes them into analog signals that can be viewed on non-digital TV sets. The converter box can also connect to a VCR for recording programs onto analog videotape. The converter box is set to the chosen channel for recording. Tune the VCR, along with a connected TV, to channel 3 or 4. Digital converter boxes typically come with a remote control for changing channels.
