Use PayPal, a credit card, Moneybookers or a prepaid card from Walmart to purchase a monthly subscription to enable the use of your Skype account for calling landlines and mobile phones. You can also use Skype to send text messages worldwide with a paid subscription. If you purchase "Skype Credit," you can use your credit points to use the paid features such as voicemail, text messaging, call forwarding and calling landlines and mobile phones.

  • If you don't know what version of Skype you are using, click the "Help" tab within your Skype program and select "About Skype" from the drop-down list. You will see a splash page appear with the Skype version you are using.
