      Open your iTunes and right-click on the song you would like to use as a ringtone.

      Click "Get Info," "Options" in the pop-up menu and change the starting and ending time of your song to a clip of 30 second or less. Click "OK."

      Click "Import Using: AAC Encoder" in the "Import Settings" menu and click "OK." This will convert your clip to the ringtone-compatible Advanced Audio Coding format.
