How to Connect a Custom Server in "Left 4 Dead"

"Left 4 Dead" is a survival horror game where up to four players can work together to survive attacks from zombies. Players can create custom servers using the "Left 4 Dead Dedicated Server" tool. Connecting to a custom server requires using the developer console to open the server browser window. Both Internet and local access network (LAN) custom servers can be found in the server browser.
