How to Make Custom Caps
Starting as young as 2 or 3 and continuing into their 90s, boys and men can be spotted wearing caps. Although called "baseball caps" because they were originally worn by baseball players, caps can now be found with all kinds of sports teams and logos splashed across the front. Find a manufacturer that will produce your cap for you. This can be found online, or by looking up a private manufacturer in your local phone book.

Choose the type of cap that you would like. There is either fitted or adjustable, mesh or cotton, flat or curved brim, and five or six panel options. Check with your manufacturer to see which kinds he offers.

Choose a color for your cap based on the selection that the manufacturer provides. If you are designing a cap for a sport's team, the color of the main body of the cap is traditionally the same as the supporting color of the team uniform, such as the color of the writing.

Add any pictures or logos to your cap. If you are using a website, it will probably offer a selection of pictures to choose from; while if you go directly to a manufacturer, he might allow you to design and fax in your own original picture.
