How to Wash Designer Jeans
Caring for designer jeans is different than caring for regular jeans because designer clothing is often made of expensive dyes and fabrics that need special attention and care. Additionally, the fact that you spent more money probably means that you hope these jeans will last longer than a typical, cheap pair. The best advice is to read the instructions on the inside of your jeans to see if there is something special pertaining to your pair, but there are some general guidelines that should work well with all jeans.
Instructions

1
Turn your jeans inside out. This will help to protect the color and prevent early fading from harsh wash cycles.
-
2
Set the machine to the cold water cycle. Never use hot or warm water on expensive colored clothing because it will fade the dyes.
-
-
3
Add a high-quality detergent that is specifically made to protect colors.
-
4
Wash the jeans on a gentle cycle.
-
5
Remove them from the washing machine and hang dry. While the dryer will not damage the color, it will affect the texture of your jeans, so allow them to dry naturally to preserve their feel and shape.

Tips & Warnings
Over-washing can also age your jeans prematurely, so only wash them when you are sure they need to be cleaned, rather than after every time you wear them.
