      Sign into your Twitter account from the web. At the top of the screen, click the "Mobile" tab under the "Profile Settings" tab.

      Click the drop-down box and choose the country that you reside in. Enter your mobile phone number related to the phone or mobile device you want to use to update your Twitter account. If you're outside the United States, you may be asked to pick your mobile device cellular carrier. You will be prompted to do so on the screen.

      Click the "Start" button. This will prompt Twitter to verify the phone number you have put in by giving you a number to send a text message to.

      Send an SMS or text message to the number on the Twitter page. The body of the text should say "GO." After Twitter receives the message you have sent, your device is all set to go. You can now send text or SMS messages in order to update your Twitter account.
