How do I Use a Tomtom?
TomTom is a leading provider of location and navigation equipment for your car, bike and mobile Global Positioning Systems (GPS). TomTom GPS features technology such as pre-installed maps, advanced lane guidance and voice recognition and text-to-speech conversion. TomTom GPS uses Fold & Go EasyPort mounts for simple installation. TomToms are easy to use as well, offering Plug & Go technology enabling convenient play-and-play usage.

Attach the suction-cup support base of the TomTom docking station to the windshield or dashboard of your vehicle in a conveniently visible and accessible place.

Attach the Active Base to the support base and turn the Active Base clockwise until it clicks and locks into the support base. If necessary, you may re-align the docking station once the Active Base is attached.

Plug the car charger into your vehicle's DC electrical receptacle and the USB port on the side of the TomTom GPS. Push the TomTom GPS into the Active Base docking system port. Push the "Power" button on the TomTom GPS to turn on the device.

Tap the "Yes" or "No" buttons on the screen of the GPS to answer the initial setup questions. Tap "Yes" if you are asked if you make regular trips to the same locations to input addresses to save to your TomTom "Favorites" list.

Tap the "Main Menu" button in the lower-right hand corner of the GPS screen to return to the "Main Menu." Tap the "Navigate To..." button and select "Address" to input a new location or select "Favorites" to select a saved destination. Tap the "Start" button to begin the trip.

Tips & Warnings
Always turn off the TomTom GPS before disconnecting the power supply. Failure to do so may result in damaged files or corrupted data being saved to the GPS.
