How to Create a Web Page With Telus

Telus provides telecommunications services to millions of Canadians all over the country. One of its more popular services includes high speed Internet with over 1.2 million Internet subscribers as of 2010. The Telus Internet service is bundled with a free email account and Web space. Users with their own HTML editing tool can create a website and easily upload it via Telus' online file manager.

      Create a Web page using your HTML editor and name the home page "index.html."

      Go to the online File Manager page (see Resources) and log in using your Telus Internet Web Service username and password.

      Click the link for "public_html."

    • 4

      Click on the "Browse" button to select the files that you wish to upload. Click "Confirm." Repeat this step until all of the files for your website are uploaded.

      View your website to see if it has been successfully uploaded. In your browser, type in "www3.telus.net/public/[yourusername]" replacing [yourusername] with your Telus username to view the page.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have a shared Web hosting account at Telus, it also offers an online Web editing tool called EasySite Wizard, which you can use to create your own site.
