How to Make a Paper Dice Pattern
Making a dice pattern is fairly simple. There are several different types of dice you can make. It is an easy paper craft for beginners. Just make sure when you draw out your pattern, the lines are straight, so you will have a nicely formed dice pattern. You can use a dot pattern like traditional dice or numbered sides.

Take the piece of paper and make sure it's laying on a flat surface. This will ensure your lines will be smoothly drawn. Use the ruler and draw parallel lines about 8 inches long and spaced out about 2 inches apart. Make sure it's an even number in length and width to make sure your dice is evenly sided.

Connect the two parallel lines using the ruler to make sure they are straight. You should have an evenly drawn rectangle. Use the ruler to measure the rectangle into four evenly spaced squares marking at about 2 inches. Place the ruler at those spaces and draw three lines going across the rectangle. This creates four of the six sides of the dice.

Use the ruler and draw two more same-sized squares on each side of the second square down of your rectangle. This should look like a cross pattern. Now you have your basic dice pattern. Number your dice or draw the correct number of dots for each of the squares (one through six dots). The long part should be numbered in the order of one, two, six, and five. The two side squares should be numbered four and three. Your pattern is now finished and ready to create your dice.
