How to Save Messages to SIM Card

SIM (subscriber identity module) cards hold your mobile service subscription information on them and identify your account to your mobile phone. SIM cards also have storage space on them for easy transfer between phone handsets. When you transfer SIM cards between phones, all of that information goes with it. Many mobile phones also delete text messages after an allotted time or space threshold. Saving the text message to the SIM card makes them accessible longer and transferable.

Tips & Warnings

  • This process may vary. With so many brands and models of phones on the market, it is difficult to give specific instructions without knowing which phone you are using. If you have trouble completing this task, consult your phone's user guide for specific information about your particular model.
