Frequently save your data on an external hard drive or flash drive.

Linux is a UNIX-based free operating system. Eudora is a webmail program that allows you to receive, check, send and save emails on a single program on your computer. Since the physical copies are on your machine and not on a remote server, backing up important emails frequently will keep you from losing any data.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your computer and go to the folder where your Eudora mail client is installed.

    • 2

Plug in your external hard drive or flash drive to your computer by putting the cable into a USB port.

    • 3

Double-click to enter any subfolder that holds all the Eudora emails--they should have .mbx and .toc file endings. On your keyboard, hold down "Control"+"A" to select all the emails. Now press "Control"+"C" to copy, or right-click a file and select "Copy all."

    • 4

Navigate into your external hard drive and type "Control"+"V" to paste, or right-click and select "Paste all." The email files will copy onto your external hard drive.
