You may want to keep certain files hidden.

If you want to hide folders, pictures and files from other eyes on your computer, Windows provides options for doing so. Not only does this keep certain eyes from seeing things they shouldn't, but it also protects your files from falling into the wrong hands and being changed. You'll need to individually hide each file you want hidden.
Step 1
Locate a file you want to hide.

Right-click the file and select "Properties."
Step 3
Check the "Hidden" box in the Attributes section. Click "OK" to save your change.
Step 4
Repeat the process for each file you want to hide.
