How Do I Remove a 2002 Honda Accord Headlamp?

The 2002 Honda Accord is equipped with removable bulbs in the headlight assemblies. The bulbs are halogen and require special handling. Avoid touching the glass portion of the bulb at all times. You can remove or replace the bulbs in the Accord in minutes at home. Buy a 9005 headlight bulb from an auto parts store or Honda dealership to replace a bulb in your 2002 Honda Accord.

Instructions

    • 1

Raise the hood of your 2002 Honda Accord. Grasp the coolant overflow tank behind the passenger side light and lift it straight out of the mounting area. Set it aside in an upright position to protect it from spilling.

    • 2

Press in the locking tab on the wiring harness and pull it back off the bulb.

    • 3

Turn the bulb a quarter-turn counterclockwise to release it from the headlight assembly. Pull it straight back out of the assembly.
