How to Transfer Images Attached to Email to Pictures in Vista

When sending email, it is possible to embed images in the body of the message or add them as a separate attachment. If you receive an email that has images embedded or attached that you would like to save, you can transfer the image from the email to your picture folder in Microsoft Vista.

Instructions

    • 1

Access and view the email that contains the images your wish to transfer.

    • 2

Right-click on the image or attachment link containing the pictures you would like to save.

    • 3

Left-click "Save picture as" or "Save as" in the drop-down menu.

    • 4

Locate and double-click on the "Pictures" folder in the left-hand window pane then click "Save." The picture is now saved in the "Pictures" folder.

Tips & Warnings

  • Only save attachments from senders you trust. Many computer viruses are passed on through Email attachments.
