How to Apply Black Eyeliner Without Smearing it
Black eyeliner is one of the most commonly used eyeliner colors because it looks best with virtually any eye shadow color, and applying eyeliner to any shape of eyes can make them stand out. Unfortunately, black eyeliner can smear easily if not applied properly. However, applying black eyeliner without smearing it is a relatively straightforward process. Does this Spark an idea?

Applying Eyeliner Above the Eye

Close the eye on which you would like to apply the eyeliner.

Place the eyeliner pencil in your dominant hand.

Pull the eyelid from the corner of the outside edge of the eyelid with your free hand gently.

Position the eyeliner pencil on the bottom of the eyelid, just above the eyelashes.

Apply the eyeliner to the inside of the eyelid and gently move the pencil toward the outside of the eyelid.
Applying Eyeliner Below the Eye

Keep your eyes open while applying eyeliner below the eye.

Place the eyeliner pencil in your dominant hand.

Position the eyeliner pencil underneath the bottom eyelashes and near the inside corner of your eye.

Apply the eyeliner to the top of the lower eyelid and just below the eyelashes by gently moving the pencil toward the outside of the eyelid.

Tips & Warnings
Do not touch the eyeliner once it has been applied because it will smear.
When using a liquid eyeliner it is best to wait a few minutes before applying eye shadow to let the eyeliner dry.
