How to Test RAM Memory Integrity
You can test the RAM memory in your computer for free if you suspect it is failing. The Windows Memory Diagnostic tool is a feature built in to Windows that can be run from a hard drive or Windows repair or installation disc. The second option is useful if your computer will not start. The tool can be started from the desktop and run after the computer restarts. The program is automated, so you will only need to start it and let it run to check for errors.
