How to Play Games on a TI-84 Plus

The TI-84 Plus is a graphing calculator. Students can use this calculator to compute complex graphical problems, dealing mainly with pre-calculus and calculus level course loads. While these functions are interesting, another feature of the TI-84 Plus is its ability to play video games. Using the graphing calculator, you can play games such as Tetris. In order to play games, you need to install a couple of files onto the TI-84 Plus.

Instructions

1. Download TI Connect from Texas Instruments. Install this on your computer. It helps you control data on your calculator. Connect your calculator to your computer using the USB cable.

2. Download Ion, which is available at TICalc.org, and send the files to your calculator.

3. Press "PGRM" on your calculator. Start the first program on your calculator called Ion.

4. Press "2nd" then "+," "2" and "7." Highlight each Ion file and press "Enter" for each file.

5. Download games, then transfer the game files to your calculator using TI Connect.
