How to Locate Realtex HD Audio Manager in an Acer Aspire 7720 Laptop

The Acer Aspire 7720 laptop computer comes with the Windows Vista operating system pre-installed, which lets the user navigate quickly to locate software and installed devices, such as the Realtek HD (high definition) audio manager that controls sound on the system. Locating the audio manager on the Acer laptop takes only a few seconds by accessing the Vista control panel.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the Aspire laptop screen, and then click on "Control Panel."

2. Click "Hardware and Sound."

3. Select "Manage audio devices" in the new window.

4. Click the "Playback" tab at the top left edge of the new window, then double-click "Realtek High Definition Audio Default Device" to open the audio manager and change settings, if desired.
