How to Add Arrows in Powerpoint

Using arrows emphasizes text and shows direction.

Visual props grab the audience's attention in a presentation. The use of PowerPoint slideshows is one way to present your information in an interesting way. PowerPoint slideshows may include shapes and pictures. These objects are customizable including color and size. Once these shapes or photos are placed on a slide, the designer can add animation to the object. This adds addition interest to each slide.

Instructions

1. Open Microsoft PowerPoint.

2. Click the "Insert" tab. Choose "Shapes" from the "Illustrations" box.

3. Choose an arrow from the "Block Arrows" box.

4. Click the PowerPoint slide and drag the mouse while holding the mouse button down.

5. Use the corner and side tabs to resize the arrow.
