Itchy skin from dryness, inflammation or sunburn causes irritation that can lead you to scratch your skin raw. Commercial products and---occasionally---medication can help address itchy skin issues, and many home remedies also relieve itchy skin. One home remedy involves using pineapple to relieve itchy skin. Instructions

      Pour the 1/4 cup pineapple juice over a clean washcloth. Blot the pineapple juice onto the face, neck and any other area where you have dry, itchy skin.

      Rub the pineapple slice all over your itchy skin. Allow the pineapple juice to sit on the skin until it's dry. This will take about 10 minutes or so.

      Rinse with a warm, wet washcloth and plain water to remove the pineapple juice from your skin, as well as the accompanying stickiness. Soap is not necessary because it might exacerbate your itchy skin problem.

  • Use pineapple juice as a natural cleanser and to reduce fine wrinkles and age spots.

  • If you apply pineapple juice directly to the skin without a washcloth, use only 1 tsp.
