How To Extract a 22 Long Rifle Shell From a Model 67 Winchester

The Winchester model 67 rifle was introduced in 1937 as a "boys" rifle. The model 67 is a bolt-action rifle chambered for .22 short, .22 long or .22 long-rifle bullets. This training rifle has a single-shot capacity. After the rifle is fired, the rifle ejects the empty shell casing when the bolt is opened; if the shell fails to eject it can be removed manually. A stuck shell casing is often caused by a dirty rifle.

• Cleaning rod

Instructions

1. Open the rifle's bolt.

2. Place your .22 caliber cleaning rod down the barrel and lightly tap the end until the shell falls out of the chamber.

3. Remove your cleaning rod.

Tips & Warnings

• After removing the empty shell, you should clean your rifle of carbon and dirt to prevent future jamming.
