How to Open a Dialog Box in MS Word

MS Word contains a variety of dialog boxes that have a set of related commands that you can choose from. You can switch from one tab to another within the dialog box to handle a different set of commands. Word 2007 includes a dialog box launcher that appears in the lower right corner of a group within the ribbon. The box includes additional options that help you create, edit, save and print a document.

Instructions

1. Start Word 2007 and select a tab (like "Page Layout") in the ribbon to open commands within the tab.

2. Go to the group (like "Page Setup") under the tab that contains the commands you want to use.

3. Click on the dialog box launcher to open it. Select a tab within the dialog box (if one is available) to navigate inside it.
