Curing Acne With Home Methods
Acne can be terribly embarrassing for teens and adults alike. Numerous home treatments are available for acne. While some home acne treatments are meant to work overnight, other treatments are designed to cure or improve acne with continued use. It is important to try multiple methods to find the home treatments that work for your skin and your acne.
Things You'll Need
- Mild soap
- Washcloth
- Paste toothpaste
- Orange peel
- Potato
- Lemon juice
- Salt
- Vinegar

Keep your face free from oil as much as possible. Washing too frequently with soap can dry out your face so alternate between soap and using just water. Gently rub your face and avoid harsh scrubbing as this can aggravate the acne. This process will not cure acne or reverse the process quickly but is a good method to reduce acne.

Cover your acne blemishes with a thin layer of paste toothpaste. Leave on overnight. Rinse off with warm water. The paste toothpaste will reduce the inflammation and redness of acne overnight.

Grind some orange peel and mix with a small amount of water to make a paste. Apply the paste to your face or areas with acne and leave on for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Slice a potato into thin slices or grind it. Apply the slices to the affected areas or mix the ground potato with a small amount of water to make a paste. Apply this to the affected areas and leave on for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Apply some lemon juice to your face or the area with acne. Follow this by rinsing with warm water.

Make a paste using salt mixed with vinegar. Apply this to the acne and allow to sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove with warm water.

The methods described are not meant to be used consecutively in the same night. Try a method each night until you find the ones that work for you.
See a doctor if your acne is severe or does not respond to home treatments. Severe acne can cause permanent scarring and a doctor can prescribe medication.
