Laptops are typically able to take advantage of active wireless Internet networks.

Universal Serial Bus (USB) wireless Internet routers are not true Internet routers in that these devices depend on active Internet connections to work. A wireless Internet router turns a personal computer into a hub of its own from which other computers or hand-held gadgets may connect to the Internet. These devices are ideal for business travelers wishing to share active Internet connections with clients or team members to complete projects, share proposals and development meeting strategies.
