How do I Use Fake Nails as Fangs?

The most important part of a vampire costume isn't the cape, white pallor or evil laugh. To complete your outfit, you need some realistic fangs. Surprisingly, you can custom make your own fangs using fake fingernails. The fingernails contain acrylic, which is what most costume shop fangs are made of. Make your own for less at home.

Things You'll Need

• Acrylic fake nails
• Soap
• Scissors
• Nail file
• Denture paste

Instructions

1. Purchase acrylic fake nails from a retailer. Make sure the nails are white and undecorated.

2. Choose two nails that match the size of your teeth.

3. Wash the nails in soapy water and dry them gently.

4. Cut the nails to form a pointy tooth shape.

5. File the edges so they won't be too sharp in your mouth.

6. Spread denture paste on the back of the nails and place them on your teeth. Press them on firmly to adhere the nails to your teeth.

• Be careful when drinking and eating with the nails on your teeth, so you don't accidentally swallow one.
