How do I Make a Sexy Ladybug Costume?

Dressing as a ladybug can be a sexy costume for Halloween.

As you get older, Halloween costumes are less about looking scary, and more about looking sexy. Dressing as a sexy ladybug is a great twist on a classic childhood costume and can be made as daring as you like. Red and black are two sexy colors, and when paired with fairy wings and antennae, you're bound to get noticed at any Halloween party.

Things You'll Need

• Red corset
• Black tutu
• Two large squares of red felt
• Two large squares of black felt
• Black headband
• Black pipe cleaners
• Two red pompoms
• Superglue
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Red pantyhose
• Black fairy wings
• High black heels

Instructions

1. Draw circles on the red and black felt by tracing around a circular object, ideally a jam jar lid, with your pencil. Carefully cut out the circles.

2. Glue the red circles onto the black tutu, leaving space between each circle. Then glue the black circles onto the red corset top. Leave to dry.

3. Wrap the bottom of a pipe-cleaner to one side of the headband, leaving the rest of the pipe-cleaner poking up into the air. Repeat on the other side of the headband. Then glue the red pompoms to the top of the pipe-cleaners to create your antennae.

4. Put on the corset top and tutu, along with red pantyhose. Attach the fairy wings to your back using the elastic armbands provided and place your antennae headband on your head. Add high black heels and lots of smoky eye makeup to finish the look.

Tips & Warnings

• If you want to tone down the sexiness of the costume, swap the red corset for a red top, and the black tutu for a short black skirt.
