How to Make a Handmade Quilt Card

You can make your own quilted card out of craft materials.

Handmade quilts are loved and cherished by many people. If you have a family member or friend who adores quilts, you can make them a handmade card that looks as though it has a quilted front, using only colored pencils. Once your loved ones receive your handmade quilt cards, they will see how much you care about them and how much time you spent on the card.

Things You'll Need

• Printer paper
• Colored pencils
• Ruler

Instructions

1. Fold a sheet of 8-inch by 10-inch paper in half width-wise.

2. Press your finger along the edge to make it crisp.

3. Draw a 2-inch grid onto the front of the card.

4. Use colored pencils to color the grid lines with a heavier touch.

5. Use colored pencils to color in the areas next to the grid lines with a medium touch.

6. Use colored pencils to color in the middle of each grid square with a light touch.

7. Draw a small circle into the center of each square.
